S.G. Vasudev

S. G. Vasudev, born in 1941 in Karnataka, is a celebrated Indian artist renowned for his vibrant and deeply symbolic paintings that explore themes of mythology, nature, and human consciousness. Educated at the Government College of Fine Arts in Chennai, Vasudev developed a distinctive visual language that blends traditional Indian iconography with contemporary artistic techniques. His works often depict archetypal figures and motifs, drawing on ancient myths and cultural narratives to delve into the universal human experience.


Vasudev’s art is characterized by bold colors, intricate patterns, and a harmonious balance between abstraction and figuration.
